IndiGo Starts 8 New Flights to Boost Northeast Connectivity

Since October 29, IndiGo has introduced tri-weekly flights between Agartala and Dibrugarh, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

IndiGo airline, has announced eight new flights in its winter schedule, aimed at enhancing connectivity across Northeast India and bolstering accessibility to key destinations. Since October 29, IndiGo has introduced tri-weekly flights between Agartala and Dibrugarh, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. From December 10, daily direct flights will also connect Guwahati to both Dimapur and Ahmedabad.

To meet rising international travel demand, IndiGo is also adding flights on the Kolkata-Bangkok route, with four weekly services beginning November 24, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

“We are excited to offer these new routes in response to growing demand,” said Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo in an official release. “This expansion will not only improve connectivity but also promote regional economic growth, tourism, and cultural exchange across Northeast India.”

These new flights will support tourism, trade, and employment opportunities, while also providing greater convenience for both business and leisure travelers across East and Northeast India.

Key Routes in Winter Schedule:
Agartala-Dibrugarh (Tri-weekly: Tues, Thurs, Sat)
Guwahati-Dimapur (Daily from Dec 10)
Guwahati-Ahmedabad (Daily from Dec 10)
Kolkata-Bangkok (Four times a week from Nov 24)
