India celebrates Constitution Day

Fulfilling fundamental duties should be the first priority of citizens, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said fulfilling fundamental duties should be the first priority of citizens to take the nation to greater heights. The Prime Minister made this statement during his address to mark the Constitution Day celebrations in the Supreme Court.

“We the People in the Preamble of the Constitution is a commitment, pledge and belief that has made India the Mother of Democracy,” the PM said. Besides, PM Modi also stated that the Judiciary is taking a lot of steps such as e-initiatives to ensure timely justice for all.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched new initiatives under the e-court project, which provides services to litigants, lawyers and the judiciary through information and communication, technology-enabled courts. The initiatives launched by Prime Minister Modi included ‘virtual justice clock’, ‘JustIS’ mobile app 2.0, digital court and ‘S3WaaS’ websites.

Prime Minister Modi also remembered the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks that took place in 2008 as India iss celebrating the Constitution Day or Samvidhan Diwas.
