“As Bhagawan Ramchandra went on exile (van vas) as per his father’ s wishes I too am not living in the comforts of a home with family. This is like van vas for me
If I have to serve a jail term for no fault of mine, I will accept it as God’s blessing, the jail term would be like van vas of Bhagwan (Lord) Ram and then start my life afresh. I plead you all that the investigation should not be a long drawn one….If anyone says I have ever misbehaved or treated anyone rudely or harshly and if anyone says I have done anything wrong then I will accept it even if the person is lying and if anyone says so with proof then I will accept it with my head bowed down. I have faith in God. I am not on the run because I am scare of the police. I know they will not beat me to death. I am staying away to gather myself. I have not been able to come to terms with the incident. I give my word, I will turn myself in but before that request you all to find proof against me if I have done anything wrong.”

So far Dibrugarh Police arrested 5 students and the University has suspended 4 students, relieved the 3 wardens of the hostel from their duties.
