HS Exams: Cachar College principal help students to cheat, suspended

Principal of the Cachar College in Assam has been suspended for allegedly helping students to cheat in the ongoing Higher Secondary examination conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).
The suspended principal has been identified as Dr Siddhartha Shankar Nath.
As per inputs, Principal Nath was accused of providing materials for unfair means to two students of his college during the Physics examination held on Monday.
Following the order from the Director of Higher Education Assam, Pomi Baruah, Nath has been placed under suspension.
The Assam board HS examination has begun on February 12 and will conclude on March 13. The examinations are being held in 876 centers across the state.
A total of 2,80,216 students are appearing for the examination.
