Assam: Hill collapses in Cachar, 1 labourer dead, 3 injured, 1 missing

It is learnt that the construction of the building was going on under the hillock at the colony on National Highway 37 by cutting hills.

In a tragic incident in Zirighat area of Cachar district five construction workers were trapped under a hill which collapsed when they were doing some digging work for the construction of a building. One worker was declared dead, 3 were seriously injured and one woman construction worker remains untraced.

Search and rescue operation is underway.

It is learnt that the construction of the building was going on under the hillock at the colony on National Highway 37 by cutting hills. Suddenly the mound collapsed and five workers were crushed underneath building.
