Guwahati: Elder Brother Bludgeons Younger Brother to Death with a Stone

The Noonmati police have launched a manhunt for Hiralal, who fled from the spot after committing the crime.

In a shocking and tragic incident reported from Guwahati, an elder brother killed his younger brother by repeatedly hitting him with a stone. The incident took place on Sunday.

The two brothers picked up a fight over some financial transaction. Soon the fight turned into a heated argument. In the heat of the moment, the elder brother, Hiralal, picked up a stone and bludgeoned his younger brother, Sunil to death by hitting his head with the stone repeatedly.

The incident took place in the Mathgharia area of Guwahati.

The family members, with the help of the neighbours, rushed the victim to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) but the doctors declared him brought dead.

The body has been sent for post-mortem.

The Noonmati police have launched a manhunt for Hiralal, who fled from the spot after committing the crime.

Further investigation is underway.
