Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today offered prayers at Shri Shri Govindaji Temple in Imphal and sought the blessings of Lord Govindaji on the result day for Assembly elections.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by BJP national spokesman and in-charge of Manipur Sambit Patra.
“Offered my prayers at Shri Shri Govindaji Temple along with Shri @sambitswaraj Ji to seek the blessings of Lord Govindaji for the grand result that awaits us today. Let us march towards a peaceful, prosperous and developed Manipur, together with BJP,” CM N Biren Singh tweeted after offering prayers at the temple.
The political fervour is high, with all eyes on the results of the Manipur Assembly Elections, which began this morning.

BJP will try to retain power in Manipur on the back of the development and improved connectivity in the state over the last five years, while the Congress-led alliance is seeking to wrest the state from BJP and wishing for a favourable verdict as the countdown for the 2022 Assembly elections begins.
Elections for the 60-member Manipur Assembly were held in two phases on February 28 and March 5.
The fate of 265 candidates vying for the 60 Assembly seats in the state will be known by afternoon.
