Framing of rules for the Citizenship Amendment Act have already started and have made steady progress.

This was informed by top BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma while speaking to newsmen in Delhi.

Sarma stated that it was important to get done with the process at the earliest so that all confusion could be removed from the minds of people about the number of persons getting citizenship under CAA in Assam.

Sarma also said that the State Government has given suggestions to the Centre on the framing of rules.
