Asha Rani Chamling, mother of former Sikkim Chief Minister and Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) chief Pawan Chamling passed away last night due to old-age ailments. She was 97.
Asha Rani Chamling breathed her last at 9.15 pm on Tuesday at a private hospital in Siliguri where she was undergoing treatment since last two months.
Her funeral will take palce tomorrow at her native village Yangang in South Sikkim.
Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has conveyed his condolences to Pawan Chamling and family.
