Tensions are running high in Assam’s Deurikuchi village in Gohpur after the shocking murder of a father and son during a Raas performance.

As per reports, the father-son duo identified as Hiteshwar Saiki and Simanta Saikia were allegedly killed by Akan Bordoloi and Krishna Bordoloi over an argument that the father-son picked up with the Bordolois.

The accused, who are also residents of the same village, reportedly got into an arugument with the deceased on a matter related to performance at the ongoing Raas Mahotsav.

One of the person close to the victims said, “The boy was dancing while the father was recording (the event), then I heard that there was a fight.”

She added that the incident happened when the victims went back to retrieve the mobile phone which was left at the incident site.
