Eastern Sumi Hoho gets associated with ENPO

ESH President Tokishe Sumi appealed to all tribes within the ENPO to live in peace and spread unity.

Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH), the apex civil organisation of the Sumi tribe of Eastern Nagaland, got affiliated with the Eastern Naga People’s Organisation (ENPO), the umbrella body of Eastern Nagaland representing seven tribes of the region, today at an affiliation event in Tuensang.

Nagaland’s Minister of Roads and Bridges, G. kaito Aye, spoke on the significant development and underlined the importance of unity and the need for people to work together.

Eastern Sumi Hoho President, Tokishe Sumi, said that Sumis are not new members, rather they are one of the oldest members that have been in existence for a long time.

Sumi appealed to all tribes within the ENPO to live in peace and spread unity.

MLA and DPDB chairman of Kiphire, C. Kipili Sangtam appreciated the ENPO and ESH for initiating such historical discussion among the leaders. He also urged to all the ESH to have faith and walk together for the upliftment of the ENPO and work as one for better development at the right time.

Besides, various leaders who also spoke on the occasion, urged the tribes within the ENPO to sow seeds of unity and move forward in strength as they embark on a journey to transform the Eastern Nagaland to a progressive region.
