Radha Vembu, the co-founder of Zoho Corporation. has become the richest self-made Indian woman surpassing Falguni Nayar, founder and CEO of Nykaa, according to a report titled “360 One Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2023.”

In the report released on October 13, 50 year old entrepreneur, Radha Vembu ranked 40th among India’s 100 richest persons and become the richest self-made Indian woman with a net worth of Rs 36,000 crore.

Vembu is ranked 3rd among India’s top 5 software entrepreneurs.

About Zoho Corporation
The company initially named as AdvenNet was later renamed to Zoho Corporation in 1996. It is a software development company headquartered in Chennai.
It is currently beta-testing an alternative to WhatsApp called “arattai,” which translates to “chat” in Tamil.
The company currently has offices in multiple countries, including the United States, India, and China.

Who is Radha Vembu?
Born in 1972 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Radha Vembu completed her education at the National Higher Secondary School. She obtained her industrial management degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. She is married and a mother of one child.

Vembu’s career
With a full ownership in the business, Radha Vembu is also the director of Corpus Foundation and the product manager for the email service Zoho Mail.

Apart from being the co-founder of Zoho Corporation, Vembu is a director of Highland Valley Corporation Pvt. Ltd., a real estate firm, and Janaki Hi-Tech Agro Pvt. Ltd., an agricultural NGO.

Radha Vembu’s net worth
According to a report titled “360 One Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2023,” Vembu has a net worth of Rs 36,000 crore. She is India’s wealthiest self-made woman.

The Reliance Industries chairman, Mukesh Ambani topped the list with a total worth of over 8 lakh crore. He surpassed Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani.

With a net worth of Rs 22,500 crore, Falguni Nayar placed 86th among India’s 100 richest people.
