As per reports, the talks between the NSCN-IM and Government of India has ended on an inconclusive note on Monday.
Today’s meet was being dubbed as the last formal discussion before the October 31 deadline. However, with the discussion yet again ending on an inconclusive note, uncertainty looms large as to what will be the next course of action.
According to top sources, the NSCN-IM and GoI will be sitting for another round of talks on Tuesday, October 29.
It may be mentioned that a 15-member delegation of the NSCN-IM led by its general secretary T Muivah held talks with Nagaland governor and Government of India’s interlocutor RN Ravi in New Delhi to break the current stalemate surrounding the Naga Peace Talks.
The meeting between both the sides came following the inconclusive October 24 discussion.
While the NSCN-IM has been adamant on its demand for a separate flag and constitution, the Government of India has made it clear that there can be no discussion on these two issues.
