Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman experienced a sudden illness and nearly collapsed while addressing a program outside the Congress Bhawan in Agartala on Monday. However, the party members promptly acted and rushed to support the MLA as he leaned on the lectern. Following the incident, Barman was promptly escorted to his official residence by Congress leaders, where a physician examined him. At present, his condition is stable.
