Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Union Ministry of Communications for their significant efforts in upgrading telecom infrastructure across the state.
He highlighted key initiatives such as BharatNet and the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), which have played a crucial role in expanding 4G connectivity to even the most remote border areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
After attending the IT Ministers’ Conference in New Delhi on Tuesday, in the presence of Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan, Khandu shared in an official post on X, “This improved connectivity has not only benefited our residents but also strengthened communication networks for our security forces in these sensitive regions.”
He acknowledged that challenges still persist, particularly in rural and border areas, but emphasized the state’s commitment to overcoming these obstacles. “We are determined to close the digital divide and ensure that every citizen of Arunachal Pradesh has access to reliable telecom services,” Khandu added.
