After the single biggest day surge in COVID-19 cases in Assam on Tuesday, 13 more positive cases have been reported from the state today, taking the tally to 170.

Among the fresh cases, 8 are from Hojai, 2 from Sonitpur, 1 each from Kamrup (M), Kamrup (R) and Nagaon.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Health Minsiter Himanta Biswa Sarma informed,”13 new cases of #COVID19 + confirmed. Break-up ~ 8 from Hojai; 2 from Sonitpur; 1 each from Kamrup Metro, Kamrup and Nagaon.”

(Total cases 170, Recovered 48, Active cases 115, Deaths 04 & Migrated 03)
Earlier today, 7 positive patients from GMCH, 2 from JMCH and 4 from SMCH were discharged post recovery. With this, the active cases count in the state have now reached 115.
