Body of Class 7 Girl Student Found Under a Heap of Stones in Assam’s Sivasagar

Within 24 hours of a Class 7 student succumbing to his injuries after being beaten up by his teacher in Sonitpur, another Class 7 student, a girl, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sivasagar, Assam.

The body of the student who was studying in Triveni High School, was discovered beneath a heap of stones after she was reported missing for three days.
She hailed from Nazira Patghar Ali in Sivasagar district of Assam.

Her family had lodged a missing person’s report at Gelakey Police Station, prompting an investigation by senior police officials.

The discovery of her body has created tension in the area, with residents demanding justice for the victim.

Earlier yesterday, a Class 7 student succumbed to injuries allegedly caused by corporal punishment.

The incident took place on 18 January at Sirajuli New Harijan School in Dhekiajuli town of Assam’s Sonitpur district.
