The BJP today released its manifesto for the ensuing polls promising preservation of the rights of indigenous people and defending Manipur’s territorial integrity besides announcing freebies for students and other beneficiaries.

In a manifesto which the party termed as its commitment for the next 5 years, the BJP has reached out to all sections from women to students, the elderly, farmers, fishermen, entrepreneurs and marginal workers.

The BJP manifesto, released by party national president JP Nadda in presence of Chief Minister N Biren Singh and state party president A Sharda Devi, stated that the party is strongly committed to protecting the territorial integrity and preserving the rights of the indigenous people of Manipur and its rich cultural heritage.

In a bid to reach out to the students community, the BJP manifesto also promised free scooty for all meritorious college-going girls besides Rs 25000 allowance for girls from Economically weaker sections. Free laptops will also be given to all meritorious students passing class 12.

Giving a big push to the health sector the manifesto promises to set up AIIMS in Manipur and 100% coverage of Ayushman Bharat.

The manifesto promises 2 free LPG cylinders annually to all the PM Ujjwala beneficiaries of the state.

Extending benefits to the farming community, the BJP manifesto announced that financial assistance under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be increased from the current Rs 6000 to Rs 8000. Scholarships will also be given to children of small and marginal farmers and landless farmers pursuing technical education at the graduation and post-graduation level.

The manifesto also promised free-of-cost accidental insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh for fishermen of the state.

In a bid to take the administration to the doorsteps, the manifesto promises to expand the people-centric initiatives like go to the village and go to hills, besides ensuring doorstep delivery of all Central and State government schemes.

Besides, in a boost to entrepreneurship, the manifesto promises the establishment of Rs 100 crore start-up Manipur fund to provide zero-interest loans of up to Rs 25 lakh.

Focus has also been given to tourism in the manifesto.
