The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is picking up pace among the people. Even in remote areas of Assam’s Dima Hasao district, people and local groups are making an earnest effort to make this nationwide campaign a Massive success.

The Har Ghar Tiranga is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.

The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

In this regard, the Haflong Municipal Board is all set to make ‘Tiranga’ available through various Self Helf Groups at Haflong.

Various Self Help Groups of Haflong have been engaged in stitching the flags to meet the demand.

According to supervising officials of the HMB, they have a target of 2000 flags as of now and they have a demand of another two thousand for the Haflong Co-operative society.

At Muolhoi near Haflong members of SHG are busy stitching and preparing tricolors as a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
