The All Yachuli Students’ Union ( AYSU ) has once again reiterated its demand for bifurcation of Keyi Panyor District from the existing Lower Subansiri District. Informing that they have been monitoring and following this issue for more than a year now, AYSU raised questions on why their genuine demands are not being fulfilled by the state government till now even after the representatives of two community leaders of Lower Subansiri District submitted a memorandum regarding the matter to the government two years ago.

Addressing a press conference, AYSU further stated that they had recently submitted a memorandum to the Minister Of Education and Indigenous Culture as well as the President of All Nyishi Students’ Union ( ANSU ), and the President of Nyishi Elite Society ( NES ) for necessary action towards meeting their demand, claiming that it is a dream of many people.
