Assam’s Four New Ministers to Get Portfolios Today

The buzz in the corridors of Dispur is that among the two of the newly inducted ministers, Krishnendu Paul and Kaushik Rai.
Four first-time ministers in Assam are set to be assigned their portfolios today. This means there could be changes in existing ministry allocations.
On Saturday, Dibrugarh MLA Prashanta Phukan, Doomdooma MLA Rupesh Gowala, Patharkandi MLA Krishnendu Paul, and Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai were sworn in as Ministers in the Himanta Biswa Sarma cabinet.
All four are first-time ministers, marking a significant moment in their political careers.
The buzz in the corridors of Dispur is that among the two of the newly inducted ministers, Krishnendu Paul and Kaushik Rai, both hailing from the Barak Valley, one is expected to be entrusted with the charge of this newly formed department.
