The Assam university in Silchar is making headlines for the wrong reasons again. The Silchar police have arrested a professor from the Arabic department of the university for allegedly molesting

The Assam university in Silchar is making headlines for the wrong reasons again.

The Silchar police have arrested a professor from the Arabic department of the university for allegedly molesting a student of the same department.

The accused professor, who is the HOD of Arabic department, has been identified as Nazrul Islam Barbhuyan.

Barbhuyan has been allegedly molesting the student since past one year.

The accused professor, however, has denied all charges against him and termed it as conspiracy.
