In a proud moment for Assam, a dance crew based in Guwahati called the Unity One Crew won the India Hip Hop Dance Championship 2023 in Mumbai.
The crew will now represent India in the Hip Hop International 2023 Championship in Arizona, Phoenix, USA, in July 2023.
The preliminary rounds and the semi-finals of the India Hip Hop Dance Championship 2023 were held from January 3–5, and the finals were held on January 7 in Mumbai.
The crew comprising of five members leading by Abhishek Mahatu.
Earlier, the team won a gold medal in the India Hip Hop Dance Championship in 2018 and a silver medal in 2021.
