Tragic road accident claimed the life of a daughter and left her father injured in the Lakhimpur

A tragic road accident claimed the life of a daughter and left the father battling for his life. What is more tragic is the fact that the daughter was the lone child of her parents.
The accident took place on Monday on National Highway 15 at Narayanpur, in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
The father-daughter duo was reportedly on their way to shop in Bihpuria when they were hit by a bus on the side of the road. The daughter died on the spot. The father has been rushed to the hospital and is undergoing treatment at Dibrugarh’s Assam Medical College.
The father-daughter duo has been identified as Dolly Hazarika and Dilip Hazarika, residents of Pukhuriparia in Bihpuria.
Reportedly, Dolly Hazarika was a journalist and was home for a few days.
