17 more COVID-19 cases have been reported in Assam on Saturday. The total coronavirus cases count in the state has now reached 346.

Out of the 17 cases, 4 are from Chirang; 4 from Tinsukia; 1 from Goalpara and 8 tested positive at SMCH.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma taking to Twitter wrote, “17 more #COVID19+ confirmed.”

“4 from Chirang; 4 from Tinsukia; 1 from Goalpara; 8 test + at SMCH – Cachar (3), Hailakandi (3) & Tripura (2),” he added.

Earlier, three positive patients were discharged from hospitals after testing negative.

Dr. Deepa Deka of Regional Dental College, Guwahati, infected in line of duty was discharged from GMCH after testing negative twice. Another woman patient was relieved.

One more patient was released from MMCH, taking the total number of recovered to 57, with 282 active cases.
