Distinguished educationist Nishant Prakash has been named in the high-level committee constituted and working for implementing National Education Policy 2020, headed by Principal Secretary of Education in the state of Assam.
Nishant is one of the leading educationists of the country working towards reforming Legal Education in India.
Sprinter Hima Das, General Secretary of Assam Cricket Association Devajit Lon Saikia, and scientist Uddhab Bharali are among the 73 distinguished people in the panel. The objective of the committee is to articulate and enforce an education policy for Assam as per the guidelines of the National Education Policy (2020).
Meanwhile, Health and Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the committee members are working relentlessly towards strengthening the education sector in Assam to adapt to the new revolutionary policy.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Nishant joined us and his knowledge and expertise working in the education sector would further strengthen the existing panel,” Sarma said.
