Assam Police Constable posted at the Silchar Circuit House shot himself with his service revolver while on duty.

In a shocking incident, an Assam Police Constable posted at the Silchar Circuit House shot himself with his service revolver while on duty. The incident took place today evening.

The Constable has been identified as Ishwar Sinha. Sadar Thana police rushed to the spot and got the constable’s body to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances leading to the suicide.
