In a tragic incident amid Bhogali Bihu celebrations, noted singer Rajib Sadia from Assam died after collapsing on stage during a musical performance at Phiobari in Tinsukia today.

The incident occurred on Sunday night, leading to panic among the audience as Sadia suddenly fell unconscious during his performance.

He was immediately rushed to Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Despite the best efforts of the doctors, Sadia breathed his last today.

Rajib’s father said that the singer had issues with low blood pressure but had not expressed any serious health concerns recently.

“We rushed to AMCH today after the organisers informed us that our son Rajib had collapsed on the stage during the musical night at Philobari yesterday. I thought he would be okay with doctors attending to him in the ICU. But when I went to see him, I realised his condition was critical. In half an hour’s time, doctors informed us that he is no more,” his father said, unable to control his tears.

Rajib Sadia’s untimely death has left a deep void among his fans, followers, and the music community.

His passing has cast a pall of gloom, with music lovers mourning the loss of a beloved artist.

Rajib Sadia’s last rites will be performed at his ancestral home in Sadia, where family, friends, and fans will pay their final respects to the much-loved singer.
