22-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Guwahati, 4th Suicide In 2 Weeks

Guwahati police is yet to ascertain the reason behind the tragic death.
Guwahati is witnessing a disturbing trend of young women taking their lives. The city has reported four suicide cases in the past two weeks, leaving the city in shock and raising concerns about the mental health of young women in the city.
In the latest case, a 22-year-old young woman, identified as Isha Bharali, was found dead in her rented accommodation at Pub-Sarania on the eve of Bhogali Bihu.
Bharali was a resident of Biswanath Chariali.
Guwahati police is yet to ascertain the reason behind the tragic death.
The tragic event follows the suicide of three other young women in Guwahati- Payal Saikia, Pratiksha Sharma, and Biplabi Nath.
Payal Saikia, a 28-year-old woman, was found dead in her rented apartment at Blue Bell Rengoni Daya Sagar Complex, Nijorapar, Guwahati. Her body was discovered on the fourth floor of H4 block in the early hours of January 1.
Pratiksha Sharma was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her rented house in Tarun Nagar on January 9. Her family suspects foul play, although initial investigations suggest she died by hanging.
On January 10, 27-year-old Biplabi Nath from Goalpara was found dead in her rented accommodation in Rukmini Gaon.
Investigations into all the cases are underway.
