Election Commissioner Harendra Nath Bora on Friday said that panchayat elections in Assam would be held before December 15.
The Chief Election Commissioner also stated at least one lakh forty thousand state government employees will be involved in the entire exercise.
In this regard a crucial meet was held at the state election commission’s office which was attended by state home secretary Kanak Chandra Sarma, ADGP law and order Mukesh Agarwala, commissioner of education Pritam Saikia, Panchayat and rural development secretary B Ekka besides other top officials of the state government.
