The reports submitted by the three regional committees led by ministers Atul Bora, Chandramohan Patowary and Pijush Hazarika will be discussed during the meet. Speaking about the meeting Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hoped that disputes in a majority of the 6 areas of differences between Assam and Meghalaya taken up in the first phase will be resolved soon.

The Chief Ministers of Assam and Meghalaya are slated to meet soon in a few days. After which a final report is to be prepared. Both the CMs will then meet Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi before the final agreement.
