Assam reported a slight spike in Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours with a total of 3,677 fresh cases. This marks a significant jump in Covid cases since the previous day as earlier the state had reported about 1,951 cases. Kamrup Metropolitan district reported 422 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The fresh tally has brought the state’s COVID positivity rate down to 8.28 percent. This puts the active caseload of Assam at 44,389.

Meanwhile, Assam reported a total of 20 COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, a total of 4,545 patients were discharged after attaining recovery. This results in a recovery rate of 93.95 percent.
