Amid Bohag Bihu Festivities, Brothers Kill Neighbour in Guwahati

The accused brothers identified as Utpal Das and Navjyoti Das had picked up an argument with their neighbour Krishna Kalita.
Bohag Bihu festivities turned into a tragedy for this family in Guwahati’s Garchuk area.
In a shocking incident, two brothers allegedly killed their neighbour over a petty issue.
The accused brothers identified as Utpal Das and Navjyoti Das had picked up an argument with their neighbour Krishna Kalita.
Suddenly the verbal dual turned into a deadly fight with the brothers attacking Kalita with a sharp weapon and eventually killing him.
The reason behind the argument is not known.
Both the brothers have been arrested and the body of Kalita has been sent for postmortem, Garchuk Police said.
