Governor’s rule has been imposed in the Bodoland Territorial Area District.
Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi imposed governor’s rule in BTAD as the tenure of Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland Territorial Council ended today.
The governor’s rule will continue in BTAD till a new council is formed. BTC polls was scheduled to be held on April 4, but was postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Principal Secretary to Assam Government has been appointed as the administrator of the BTC.
