Assam: Governor’s rule imposed in BTAD area

Governor’s rule has been imposed in the Bodoland Territorial Area District. Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi imposed governor’s rule in BTAD as the tenure of Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland Territorial Council ended
Governor’s rule has been imposed in the Bodoland Territorial Area District.
Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi imposed governor’s rule in BTAD as the tenure of Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland Territorial Council ended today.
The governor’s rule will continue in BTAD till a new council is formed. BTC polls was scheduled to be held on April 4, but was postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Principal Secretary to Assam Government has been appointed as the administrator of the BTC.
