Assam CM to inaugurate 5 new projects in Jagiroad

The chief minister will also address a public rally at Jagiroad Paper Mill playground.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be on a day-long visit to Jagiroad today where he will inaugurate 5 new projects. The Chief Minister will inaugurate the railway over-bridge built at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore.

After this, the chief minister will inaugurate several other projects, including a cycle track at Taranga Beel, a PWD guest house, and the permanent building of Jagiroad Development Block.

It may be mentioned here that the chief minister will inaugurate the 750-seater auditorium of the Jagiroad Sports Association, which has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7.20 crores.

The chief minister will also address a public rally at Jagiroad Paper Mill playground.

The local people of the area expressed their delight at the steps taken by the Chief Minister. One of the residents, speaking to the media said, “December 24 is a very happy day for us, we are delighted that the Chief Minister and Pijush Hazarika (Minister of Water Resources) has taken such a step. We are getting 5 new projects in a single day which is momentous.”
