Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has broken his silence on the security breach during a rally he addressed in Telangana capital Hyderabad on September 9.
Addressing media persons in Guwahati today, Chief Minister Sarma said that the rally in question was held with due consultation and approval of the Telangana government.
Sarma recalled how the intruder had approached him breaching all security cover and asked him why he was speaking against the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
To this, Chief Minister Sarma told the intruder he was yet to begin his speech so speaking against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao does not arise.
The intruder was later caught by the authorities.
CM Sarma also raised concerns that had the intruder not been a political activist but rather a man with a criminal mindset, things could have gone for the worse.
Another concerning factor raised by the Assam Chief Minister is that the security breach seemed pre-meditated because the incident happened when he did not even begin his speech.

Chief Minister Sarma also added that such incidents are condemnable and should have happened in the first place.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also informed that the intruder was reportedly let off moments after he was arrested.
Here, Chief Minister Sarma said that had such incidents taken place in Assam, the police would have taken stricter action.
The security breach took place during a rally addressed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Hyderabad when an unidentified man barged into the stage where Sarma was about to address a mega gathering.
The incident took place at MJ Market area in Hyderabad when Sharma was standing on the stage from where he was supposed to address the public on the occasion of Ganesh idol immersion.
The unknown person even snatched the mike, when a Bhagyanagar Utsav Committee member was speaking.
