Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Solving boundary issues with neighbours is our priority. Discussed with Hon’ble CM of Arunachal Pradesh Sh @PemaKhanduBJP, who came all the way to Guwahati, measures for permanent solution to the long-pending issue. We decided to conduct ground level survey on boundary status.

Earlier, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh have agreed to settle border disputes across the table.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is making concerted efforts to solved the border issues with its neighbours. Only a few days back the Assam and Meghalaya CMs met with Union Home Minister Shah in New Delhi and submitted the recommendations of the regional committees to solve border dispute.

The Assam CM met with his Nagaland counterpart Neiphiu Rio to discuss the border issue between both the states. It was decided in the meeting the status quo would be maintained on the interstate border.
