The ABSU during its protest submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta and BTR chief Pramod Boro

In a bid to draw government’s attention towards the plight of residents of Kokrajhar and nearby areas, the Kokrajhar district committee of All Bodo Students Union today organised a 2 hour dharna to press for better healthcare facilities at the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital.

The ABSU during its protest submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta and BTR chief Pramod Boro through the Kokrajhar District commissioner.

In its memorandum, the ABSU also demanded resumption of full-fledged post mortem services at RNB Civil hospital. It also demanded starting all services at KMCH in full swing.

The memorandum further stated that RNB Hospital lacks proper diagnostic facilities and no health check-up for many diseases has been done.

Notably, in its memorandum, the ABSU stated that due to lack of proper equipment at the RNB Hospital, post mortem of serious nature of crimes are referred to other hospitals thus causing delay in filing of reports during crime investigation.
