Earlier on August 2, a 12-year-old girl in Dima Hasao, Assam, was sexually assaulted by a young man near a bamboo factory in Manderdisa.
A similar incident was reported on July 6, where a 14-year-old girl lost her life in Hailakandi after being abducted and allegedly sexually assaulted by three young men. This incident occurred in the Rojkandi Bagan area of Hailakandi.
