The police have arrested 10 more persons in connection with the Teok Lynching Case, where a senior doctor of the Teok Tea Estate was brutally thrashed to death by an unruly mob on August 31.

With the arrest of 10 more persons, the total number of people arrested in the case has now risen to 36.

A Panchayat level leader of the BJP-Mukul Rajohowa, is also among those arrested in the case.

Meanwhile, 22 of the 30 people that have been arrested have been sent to judicial custody.

The case will be heard by Jorhat Additional Deputy Commissioner Shubhan Gowala at the office of the Teok Circle Officer. The hearing into the case which started from today will continue till September 5.
