Two persons including a minor was burnt alive in a devastating fire which broke out at Longliang village under Lazu circle in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district on Thursday morning.

According to reports, a 65-year-old man and his 5-year-old daughter were charred to death in the blazing inferno that destroyed around 114 houses in the village.

The fire was reported at around 11 am at Longliang village. Firefighters along with a team of Tirap police rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire.

However, significant damage has happened, according to fire brigade officials.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained

Meanwhile, Tirap Deputy Commissioner Taro Mize has assured relief assistance for the fire victims and the bereaved families. He also appealed to the people to render helping hands to the victims on humanitarian grounds.
