Arunachal Pradesh assembly passes Court Fees Bill, 2023

With the enactment of this bill, Arunachal Pradesh establishes its own regulations on court fees, aligning with central directives

The Arunachal Pradesh assembly on Tuesday passed the Arunachal Pradesh Court Fees Bill, 2023. The bill is set to simplify the court fee system within the state and boost revenue for the state government.

Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, took to social media to share the news. He expressed his gratitude to the members of the House for their support during the passage of this significant bill.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Chowna Mein wrote, “Happy to inform that “The Arunachal Pradesh Court Fees Bill, 2023″ has been passed by the House on the 2nd day of the ongoing 12th Session of the 7th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh. With the implementation of the bill, our State will have its own legislation on court fees, as directed by the Ministry of Law & Justice, GoI. The bill is expected to streamline the court fee structure in our State, leaving no statute left for implementation in various courts of the State and will also generate revenue for the State government. I thank the members of the House for their unanimous support on the passage of this important bill.”

With the enactment of this bill, Arunachal Pradesh established its own regulations on court fees, aligning with central directives. The primary goal is to create a straightforward court fee structure, ensuring a smoother functioning of various courts across the state while simultaneously contributing to state revenue.
