Arunachal: ‘No incursion from Chinese side’, says CM Pema Khandu

Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh has again reiterated that there is no incursion from the Chinese side into Indian Territory.
Khandu gave the statement after his recent visit to Manigong area in Shi Yomi district after hearing reports of Chinese incursion there. He asserted that no incursion from the Chinese side was visible after interacting with the locals there to assess the ground reality.
Speaking of the issue of China building a dam over the Yarlung Tsangpo or the Brahmaputra River in Tibet, Chief Minister Khandu, said that China is not a signatory of the international water treaty and hence them taking any arbitrary action in this regard can adversely affect Northeast and the surrounding areas.
Khandu also spoke about the inter-state border row with Assam, where the matter is subjudice in the Supreme Court; and both the states are trying to settle the matter on their own. He added that both the states took decision that DCs from both sides of the inter-state border would settle issues on local level,
Reports of a second Chinese village were making rounds after United States Department of Defence confirmed of one.
