Arunachal CM Pema Khandu turns 44; heartfelt birthday wishes pour in

Arunachal Pardesh’s Chief Minister Pema Khandu is celebrating his 44th birthday today. Warm birthday wishes poured in from Ministers and Chief Ministers of northeast.

Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, tweeted, “I extend my warmest greetings to our dynamic Chief Minister Shri @PemaKhanduBJP ji on his birthday. The people of Arunachal have witnessed several positive reforms under your visionary leadership. I pray to the Lord Buddha to bless you with good health, happiness and success in all your endeavors. May you continue to lead the State with your guidance, paving the way towards greater development of our State.”

Union Minister of Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju also shared his heartfelt greetings on Twitter, writing, “Sending heartfelt birthday greetings to the dynamic CM of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri @PemaKhanduBJP ji. Your commitment to serving the people and driving progress is truly commendable. Arunachal Pradesh is transforming under your leadership. May Lord Buddha bless you with excellent health and a long, prosperous life!”

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, Heartiest wishes to the dynamic Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu ji on his birthday. Pema ji has been relentlessly working on improving critical infrastructure and public welfare projects in the State. Wishes for his long and healthy life. @PemaKhanduBJP”

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, also expressed his regards on Twitter, saying, “Birthday greetings to Shri Pema Khandu @PemaKhanduBJP, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Wishing you a healthy and long life in the service of people.”

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh also shared his heartfelt greetings on Twitter, saying, “Wishing Hon’ble CM of Arunachal Pradesh Shri @PemaKhanduBJP Ji a happy birthday, filled with joy and success. May your leadership continue to shine bright and take Arunachal Pradesh to greater heights.”

Born on August 21, 1979, Pema Khandu is known for his dynamic leadership in the state. Son of former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Dorjee Khandu, Pema Khandu took over as Arunachal Pradesh CM in July 2016. Initially a member of the Indian National Congress, he transitioned to the People’s Party of Arunachal in September 2016 and later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in December of the same year.

Before assuming the role of Chief Minister, Pema Khandu served as the Minister of Tourism, Urban Development, and Water Resources.

He holds a degree from Hindu College, Delhi University, and has been serving as the President of the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association since 2019.
