Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at a hospital in Tawang on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister has appealed all eligible people to come forward and get vaccinated soon. He stressed that getting a vaccine dose will provide the much needed protection to fight against Coronavirus.

Taking to Twitter, Khandu wrote, “Got my 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine today at Khandro Dowa Zangmo hospital at #Tawang. I urge all eligible for vaccine must come forward and get vaccinated. This will provide the much needed protection amidst the 2nd wave.

Arunachal currently has 176 active COVID-19 cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the virus so far.
