APPSC paper leak case: PJCANV demands one-member committee to probe matter from 1992 instead of 2014

Ajay Matam stressed that Tadak Nalo’s wife, who was appointed to the power department in 2013, should also be a part of the investigation
In a serious allegation, the Parents Joint Committee Against Null and Void (PJCANV) has accused the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee’s (PAJSC) chairman, Techi Puru, and PAJSC vice chairman, Tadak Nalo, of taking the APPSCE paper leak matter to serve their own interests.
Ajay Matam, joint secretary of PJCANV, has demanded the one-man inquiry committee to carry out the matter from 1992 instead of 2014.
The Arunachal government had constituted a one-member committee to probe the APPSC paper leak case.
Matam stressed that PAJSC vice chairman, Tadak Nalo’s wife, who was appointed to the power department in 2013, should also be covered by the investigation.
He alleged that the PAJSC’s call to declare null and void the APPSC exams from 2014–2022, in which alleged malpractices were found, was to save Tadak Nalo’s wife.
He further accused the PAJSC of misguiding and confusing the public.
Matam appealed to the government not to nullify the exam as there were many genuine candidates, noting that there are thousands of unemployed graduates in the state.
Matam said they would soon meet the chief minister, taking the null and void matter.
It may be mentioned that the state government, on February 18, after a meeting with the PAJSC, decided to declare the APPSC exams from 2014–2022 null and void as certain irregularities were said to have been found and not the best practices followed while conducting the exams.
Parents’ Joint Committee Against Null and Void is a recently constituted committee comprising parents of government officials appointed in the recruitment examinations conducted under APPSC from 2014–2022.
Their stance on the null and void decision has been made clear and precise, and they strongly feel it is unjust to the sincere and hard-earned candidates of the APPSCE 2014–2022.
