The stage is set for what is being termed as the final formal round of talks between the NSCN-IM and the Government of India over the Naga issue. The talks will take place in Delhi tomorrow.

It may be mentioned that the issue of separate flag and constitution is the main bone of contention between the two sides at a time when the peace talks are said to be at an advanced stage.

Two days before the crucial talks with the Government of India, the NSCN-IM had once again asserted its demand for a separate flag and constitution.

The outfit also lashed out at Nagaland Governor and Naga talks interlocutor RN Ravi for his earlier statement in which he accused the NSCN-IM of intentionally delaying proceedings.

The talks are related to Naga pride and identity, therefore there can be no compromise says the NSCN(IM).
