Amidst the scorching heat wave sweeping through Tripura and other regions, Sepahijala Zoological Park in Sepahijala district has taken proactive measures to safeguard the well-being of its inhabitants. The management has introduced various initiatives aimed at alleviating the effects of the heat wave on the animals. These initiatives include providing electrolyte-rich fluids, installing air coolers and cooling shades, sprinkling cool water, besides offering frozen treats infused with fruits and vegetables kept in ice. To combat dehydration and heat stress, seasonal fruits such as watermelons, cucumbers, and gourds are being offered to the animals.
