The All Nagaland Ad Hoc Teachers Group 2015 batch has decided to suspend the ongoing hunger strike.
This comes after the Naga Students Federation, Eastern Naga Students Federation and All Nagaland Teachers Association came forward with a proposal to the teachers’ group that they will move the Interlocutory Application to the court on behalf of the teachers
The ANTG said that the meeting was inconclusive. But with the assurance of the proposal by the 3 groups, the Ad Hoc teachers group convened a general meeting and decided to suspend the Hunger strike till further notice.
However, the ANATG have not taken the final decision and only after having a meeting with the NSF, ENSF, ANSTA and the Government of Nagaland the teachers group will take the final call.
The teachers’ group is agitating against the state government over non fulfillment of their demand of regularisation of jobs.
